Dear President Trump,

I have written you many times. I am a public health nurse in Houston, Texas.  I want to thank you for the great work you are doing even though there are many who would like to see you fail.

You have great instincts. I still believe that Dr. Andrew Fauchi should resign.  He has too many conflicts of interest. I do not understand why anyone would want to close “The Great Outdoors” like some of the governors of several states are doing.

Right now, the best place to be is outside. The virus will have trouble living in the sunlight and will drift away on air currents. It is clear to me that many in leadership did not remember their lessons from their Science classes when they were younger.  Perhaps they are turning into sheep and are following the latest bandwagon.

Also, I don’t understand all of this desire to test nursing home patients for the Coronavirus. In the United States we put the elderly and the very ill in nursing homes to live out the rest of their lives. In some countries of the world people stay at home and die with their families.
They don’t expect to put their loved ones in nursing homes. Please tell everyone to wash their hands frequently, eat healthy diets and brush their teeth twice a day. Go outdoors as much as possible.

Have a Blessed Week. I, and many others, are praying for you.
